Hey there folks!
Hey there folks! Aidan here.
I saw some folks on Bluesky were making websites on Neocities, so I finally got around to figuring out how exactly you do that.
For those that don't know, here's a quick intro on who I am.
I have a Bachelor's degree in computer science with a specialization in game development, and currently I'm working in my university's Psychology Lab as their programmer making Virtual Reality experiments. Due to the nature of how research grants are approved, every now and then I'll have a stretch of a few weeks (or months) of reduced hours or unemployment, which is when I tend to do the more interesting game development stuff.
Even though my degree is in computer science, I've mainly interested in tabletop games, like Dungeons and Dragons. From my estimates I've probably put in around three to four thousand hours into playing D&D and other tabletop roleplaying systems, but this is only time spent playing or running the game, and doesn't include time spent reading through manuals and doing prep work (which is a far greater time sink than 3-4 hours once a week). I've published a few supplements on the DM's guild, with one that's currently an electrum bestseller (meaning it's in top 5% of all titles). I also tend to make variations on rules for my home games that I haven't published, like in MORG where the players were all undead, or JAM where I player around with some sanity an spellcasting rules inspired by Call of Cthulhu.
If I've set things up right you should be able to click the next post button below to see the next chronological post I've made. Actually even if that doesn't sound interesting you should give it a read, it'll likely be a better since I won't be alternating between relearning how to write JS/CSS/HTML code and formatting a blogpost.
If you have a website and want to link back here, like with one of those webring/stamp/button collection sections, feel free to copy one of the buttons below. There's even a simplified .png version in case you don't want to embed a gif of Tommy Lee Jones shaking a pug on your website.
